Peerumedu Forane Conclave

As Pope Francis’ vision, the conclave that began in the Diocese of Vijayapuram concluded at the Vimalahridaya Church, Kuttikkanam, as part of the Peerumedu Forane Conclave.

The synodal conclave was held under the presidency of Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Madathiparambil, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Vijayapuram, and was inaugurated by Curia Moderator Aji Kakkancheril.

The participants were given a basic understanding of the possibilities of ministry related to six Ministries— Pastoral , Education, Social Service, Youth, Family, and Laity ministries. The inspirations received during the silent Eucharistic adoration were shared in the meetings of each service committee. Members also shared reflections that emerged from listening to one another.

In the general assembly that followed, each service committee presented its findings and recommendations.

A total of 180 participants took part in the conclave, including priests, religious representatives, coordinators of service committees, parish council and finance committee secretaries, and elected representatives from the twelve parishes of the Forane.
